Review and revise

After the build, you first get a quick preview of your video. You review it, note change requests in the video editor, and have the AI apply them. Only when you click “Looks good!” does Macreto render the full quality and the publishing package.

The preview

In the “Review the video” step, you see your video as a “Quick preview”. It’s rendered for review: fewer frames per second and lower quality so it’s ready faster. That’s intentional. Full quality comes after your “Looks good!”.

Note changes in the video editor

1. On the video page, click “Open editor”. The editor opens large on its own page.
2. Play the video and pause it where something should change (space bar or “Pause”).
3. Mark the spot in the frame. You can use the “Freehand”, “Arrow”, “Rectangle”, and “Text in the frame” tools. “Undo” removes your last mark.
4. Type what should change in the comment field, such as “Text too small”, “Image doesn’t fit”, or “Cut this pause”.
5. Click “Save comment at …”. The comment gets its timestamp automatically.
6. Repeat for every spot. Your comments show up in the “Comments” list and on the “Timeline”.
7. Optional: add requests that affect the whole video under “Anything general? (optional)”.
8. Click “Adjust video”. The button shows how many comments you’ve noted.

The AI receives every comment with its timestamp and a still frame including your marks. Then you’re taken back to the video and review the result again.

Tip

You can also request changes without the editor: on the video page, type your request under “Or: what should be changed?” and click “Adjust video”. “Common requests” gives you ready-made wording.

Comments that have already been applied are listed in the editor under “Already applied”.

“Looks good!”: full quality and package

When you’re happy with the preview, click “Looks good! Full quality, titles, thumbnails & description”. Here’s what happens next:

1. Macreto renders your video in full quality.
2. At the same time, the publishing package is created: 3 titles, 3 thumbnails, a description with chapters, tags, a pinned comment, and a community post.
3. Once everything is done, it’s ready to download in the “Files” tab.

Afterwards, in the “Publishing” tab, you can:

• Adjust “Chapters”: clicking a chapter jumps to that spot in the video. Use the current time, rename chapters, and click “Save chapters”. The description in the package is updated.
• “Compare thumbnails”: see how your thumbnails look among other videos. The real test happens in YouTube Studio. Enter the winner with “Save winner”, and Macreto remembers it as a rule for future thumbnails.

Rules: what Macreto learns from your revisions

Whatever applies in general from your revisions, Macreto saves as a rule for future videos. That way you don’t have to repeat the same request every time.

1. Open “Rules” in the menu.
2. Under “Newly learned”, you see what Macreto has taken from your revisions. Confirm with “Looks good”, change with “Edit”, or remove with “Delete”.
3. Add your own rules, such as “Keep the intro under 20 seconds”, and click “Add”.

Rules work on three levels:

• “Global”: applies to all videos.
• “Brand kits”: applies to all videos using that kit.
• “Projects”: applies only to videos in that project.

If rules conflict, the more specific level wins: project over brand kit over global.
