Set up your brand kit

A brand kit is your complete look and feel: colors, fonts, logos, video style, voice, and links. Everything in it goes into every video you build with that kit. Changes apply from the next step you start.

You can create several kits, for example one for your main channel and one for business clients. How many depends on your plan: Starter 1, Creator 3, Pro 10.

Create a new brand kit

1. Open “Brand kits” in the menu.
2. Click “New brand kit”.
3. Enter a name, such as “Business clients”.
4. Choose the “Starting point”: “Start blank (Macreto default)” or a copy of an existing kit. A copy takes over colors, fonts, files, video style, voice, and links.
5. Click “Create and edit”.

In the overview, you can “Edit” or “Rename” a kit, or set it as your default with “Make default”. New videos automatically use the default kit unless you pick another one.

Brand: channel, look, tone, and links

Under “Brand”, you edit the kit selected at the top under “You’re editing the brand kit”. The page has four tabs:

1. “Channel & look”: channel name, your name on screen, topic and target audience, form of address, “Video language” (German or English), accent color, style of the AI images, your thumbnail style, and music.
2. “Files”: logos, custom fonts (WOFF2, WOFF, TTF, or OTF), photos of you for thumbnails, and 3 to 5 of your best thumbnails as examples.
3. “Tone & voice”: a description of how you talk. The AI reads it before every script. Plus “Spellings in subtitles” for names and technical terms that speech recognition often gets wrong.
4. “Links & texts”: links for every video description, your community, default tags, and the closing text of every description.

Click “Save” in each section.

Tip

Upload logos in high resolution (at least 1000 px wide) as PNG or WebP with a transparent background, ideally in a light and a dark version.

Choose your video style

Under “Video style”, you set how your videos look: layout, how you appear on screen, transitions, subtitles (such as karaoke subtitles), a progress bar with chapters, animations, and pacing.

1. Choose a template as a starting point.
2. Adjust the settings on the left. The preview is on the right.
3. Click “Save style”. The style applies from the next video that gets built.

For a single video, you can set a different style when you create it: uncheck “Use brand kit presets” there.

Learn voice & style

Macreto can learn from your existing videos how you talk and what your videos look like: form of address, favorite words, how you open, and pacing. The style analysis also suggests colors, thumbnail style, and pacing.

1. Open “Learn voice & style” in the menu.
2. In the “Sources” tab, add 3 to 5 typical videos: as a “YouTube link”, a “Transcript” (.txt, .srt, or .vtt), or a “Video” file.
3. In the “Voice profile” tab, click “Create voice profile”. The AI writes a description of how you sound.
4. In the “Style analysis” tab, click “Start analysis”. You’ll get a suggestion and a few follow-up questions.
5. Review the suggestion and apply what fits. You decide what goes into your brand kit.

Note

If you upload a video, Macreto creates the transcript itself and then deletes the video.

Media and projects

• “Media”: For each brand kit, this holds your own music, sounds, and images, plus everything the AI has created for your videos. The AI reuses it in new videos with that kit. Upload your own files with “Upload your own media”.
• “Projects”: Organize videos by channel or client, for example. Each project has its own brand kit and rules that apply to all its videos.
