Course mode turns a topic into a video course. Macreto researches the topic, suggests a course outline with modules and lessons and builds a video for each lesson. Why video courses take so much work
An online course isn’t one video. It’s many. Each lesson needs a clear learning goal, a logical place in the sequence, a recording and an edit. Tackle them one by one and you end up filming on many different days, editing every lesson separately and losing track. Course mode bundles that work.
How course mode works
1. Enter your topic
Name the topic of your course. Macreto researches it on the web, just like it does for a single video.
2. A researched course outline
The research becomes a course outline, organized into modules and lessons. Each lesson includes:
- Learning goal: What can learners do after this lesson?
- Exercise: How do they practice what they learned?
- Filming notes: What do you record for this lesson?
You review the outline before any videos are made.
3. Filming day
Instead of recording each lesson on a different day, you film all lessons in one go. Before each lesson, just say “Lesson 1,” “Lesson 2” and so on. Macreto recognizes these cues and cuts there. That’s how one long recording becomes individual lessons.
4. One video per lesson
For each lesson, Macreto builds its own video with the same building blocks as video production: editing, slides, animations, AI images and music, in the style of your brand kit. In the video editor, you review each lesson and request changes with comments.
5. Export as a ZIP
Finally, export all lessons bundled as a ZIP file, together with a course overview. Bring the files into the course platform of your choice.
Tips for your filming day
- Read the outline first: Go through the filming notes before you hit record.
- Say your cues clearly: Say “Lesson 1,” “Lesson 2” clearly and in the right order so the cuts land in the right place.
- Take breaks: You don’t have to record everything without stopping. What matters is that each lesson starts with its cue.
