What happens during video production
Production is step five of the workflow. Before that, you uploaded your tutorials, approved the research, got your facecam script and recorded your facecam. Now all the material is in place, and Macreto builds the video.
Editing: flubs and pauses out
Nobody reads a script perfectly in one take. Macreto detects flubs, repeats and long pauses in your facecam and cuts them. Then it combines facecam and tutorial footage to match the script: when you talk about a step, viewers see exactly that step on screen.
Slides and animations
Not everything can be shown with a screen recording. For intros, summaries and chapter breaks, Macreto builds slides and animations. How they look is set by the video style in your brand kit: colors, fonts, transitions and animations per element. Learn more on the style and brand kits page.
AI images for each chapter
Macreto generates AI images that fit the chapters of your video. They break up long explanations and make abstract topics easier to picture. AI images are labeled in the video, and the video file carries a machine-readable label.
AI music and sound effects
Macreto adds AI music under your video and places sound effects where they fit, such as transitions or on-screen callouts. No more digging through music libraries.
Audio mixed to −14 LUFS
A common problem with self-edited videos: the music is too loud, the voice too quiet, or the whole video is quieter than everything else. Macreto mixes the audio with music ducking, so the music steps back as soon as you speak. The finished video lands at −14 LUFS, a common target for online video.
Your voice stays your voice
Macreto doesn’t use AI voices. Everything spoken in the video comes from your facecam recording. That matters for trust: your audience hears you, not a synthetic copy.
Up to three versions from the same recordings
Often one video isn’t enough. From the same recordings, Macreto builds up to three versions. A typical setup:
- a tight YouTube video for a broad audience,
- a longer deep-dive cut for your community or course.

After production: review and adjust
Production isn’t the last step. Next, you watch the preview. If a spot isn’t right, pause the video in the video editor, draw or write on the frame and leave a timestamped comment. With “Adjust video,” Macreto applies every comment. Anything that should apply to future videos goes into the learning book.
How long production takes depends on your material, mainly the length and number of recordings.
