Common problems when building a course
Online courses rarely fail for lack of expertise. They fail in production. Most course creators run into the same hurdles:
- No clear plan. You know a lot, but not in which order to teach it. Modules grow, lessons overlap.
- Every lesson is its own project. Record, edit, build slides, add music – twenty or thirty times over.

Course mode is built for exactly this workflow. It’s available on the Creator plan and up.
- Enter your topic: Describe what the course should cover.
- Review the course plan: Macreto researches the topic with sources and suggests a plan with modules and lessons. Each lesson has a learning goal, an exercise and filming notes. You adjust and approve.
- Upload screen recordings: Upload your tutorials and demos, including large files up to 20 GB each.
- Read the scripts: For every lesson, Macreto writes a facecam script in your voice. More on the facecam script.
- Filming day: Record all lessons in one session and say “Lesson 1”, “Lesson 2” and so on before each one. Macreto cuts at those cues.
- Build and review: Macreto builds one video per lesson with editing, slides, animations, AI images and music. If something is off, leave time-stamped comments in the video editor.
- Export: Download all lessons as a single ZIP with a course overview.
